Job Summary

Horizon Productions is growing. As part of our VR/AR team, we are looking for a strong 3D generalist with experience in VR/AR or one with an incredible demo reel with a fervent interest in the field. This is a senior level position for someone with years of experience in 3D and motion design, along with motion graphics experience in an agency setting. Multiple projects, tight deadlines, and corporate clients should be your native environment. VR and AR should be where you see future growth, but with the knowledge of the basics of design and the ability to work across all mediums quickly, efficiently, and with a tireless energy.

What we’re looking for:

A hungry to learn, incredibly talented and highly efficient 3D generalist with VR/AR experience or one with the drive and desire to learn VR/AR fully

Someone that is eager to learn and work closely with management and leadership team.

An artistic and design-oriented 3D motion graphic artist that can work with big brands and knows how to roll with the personalities that those brands employ.

Responsibilities and Duties

MUST SUBMIT LINK TO YOUR PORTFOLIO- THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING

In collaboration with Producer, Creative lead and art team, design 3D and motion graphic art that eclipses our client’s expectation.
Create and conceptualize 3D, motion graphics, and VR/AR experiences that work within the context of client needs
Demonstrate fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and a 3D package of your choice
Work with the Unreal Engine and understand the connectivity with your 3D application
Lead projects and mentor junior team members – defining assets, production processes and milestones
Understand VR/AR design, playability and user experience - actively play all studio products and give feedback
Work on multiple projects and have the ability to multitask
Be open to feedback, revisions and shifting priorities
Be organized, goal and detailed oriented
Be a Team Player

Qualifications and Skills

Experience and Software Knowledge:

2D/3D Portfolio demonstrating broad appeal from traditional to digital drawing and illustration, animation, motion graphics, and layout
8+ years of experience in 3D, Motion Graphics, Graphic Illustration and design
Agency experience or VR/AR Pipeline experience
Senior-level experience in layout/composition, graphic design, color theory and typography
Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, 3D, and associated programs
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Pluses:

Comfort with Blueprints and Sequencer in the Unreal Engine
A passion for VR and AR
Experience implementing 3D models and animation in the Unreal Engine
Experience in agency environments, and trade show environments

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 + commensurate with experience
