Join Horizon Team as Project Manager

As our Project Manager you will coordinate clients, projects and resources every day to make sure deadlines are met, budgets are kept, and our customer service always soars.

The Project Manager is our primary project contact for creative digital projects (web, video, animation, podcasts, motion graphics, etc) you will manage schedules, and oversee resources for our mid-size commercial production agency. You will know each step of production from concept to completion for all types of creative production.

Specific responsibilities include: managing budgets; supervising production schedules and equipment resources; managing talent casting; securing locations and props; negotiating fees for contract services; maintaining a database of freelance crew and production resources, maintaining production resource inventory and equipment lifecycles, coordinating the tasks/activities of project team members such as writers, producers, videographers, editors, talent, multimedia developers, and other related professionals and leading our team’s weekly production meetings.

You will work with our impressive range of clients in technology and life science corporations, local universities and state government agencies, non-profit organizations and broadcast production companies. You’ll manage projects for sales/marketing, employee training, broadcast, documentary, web, design, education, PowerPoint and print design.

People skills are required as your daily responsibilities include working closely with Horizon’s management team, production team, and clients. You must effectively and accurately communicate details in person, in email, and on the phone.

Additional duties as needed could include scoping projects, writing proposals, mapping out content; and participating in client pitches/presentations.

Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years experience as a Senior Producer or Project Manager responsible for managing multiple projects at the same time
  • PMP or other Project Management certfication or training a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Film, Television, Media Communications or related fields
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Well-developed organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills with experience managing teams (both face-to-face and virtual)
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Project Management standards, processes, and tools including software with focus on creative/digital product development
  • Extensive experience in proposal writing and budget development
