A&K Global Health Web Launch
With an approximate three month timeline, the A&K Global Health and Horizon Productions teams were able plan, develop, and launch a new website with integrated Google Maps, social media links, partner logo carousel, and targeted audience subsections.
The project launched with a customized needs analysis using an online survey tool to gather information from A&K Global Health team members across the globe. All A&K Global Health team members were asked about their current use of web and social media sites, about customer needs, and about what would support their own work; additionally, questions were asked about their Clients (current and prospective) to better understand what information they need.
Horizon Productions provided that data to A&K Global Health for use in the immediate web development project and beyond. Based on that report data, Horizon’s team developed the site map and the content notes to determine how different messages and required functionality would work in the new site. Simultaneously, design comps and layouts were presented, reviewed, and revised to ensure alignment with the site access requirements (laptop, tablet, mobile). Responsive design allows the site to adjust to the browsing screen so that users see the site no matter what device they are using to access.
Next, the site structure was established, layouts applied, content added, and photos uploaded. Key elements – such as the integrated Google Map for the home page and partner logo carousel – were collaborations with A&K Global Health’s project team and Horizon Productions’ web team. The project included an on-site training session to ensure A&K Global Health’s team had the tools to manage their new site and keep content current.
The teams are now discussing a next phase intranet project to build upon the ExpressionEngine Content Management System. Horizon enjoyed this great web development collaboration and extends our thanks to the A&K Global Health team for the opportunity.
