The Hydrous mission is to create open access oceans.
We created a VR experience for Lenovo to bring the ocean and conservation education to the masses.
Using high density 3D models of coral reefs created with photogrammetry, we built an underwater world where you can explore, interact with marine life, watch Hydrous videos, and learn about ongoing research.
We even made a virtual camera that you can carry throughout the experience to take your own scans and snapshots. Once you're done, we email you a branded photo gallery in real time for promotion on social media and with information on how you can help.
Created with Epic Game's Unreal Engine, the experience runs on both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
It debuted at AutoDesk U in Las Vegas and generated more leads then the rest of the traditional booth assets combined.
The project also lives in the Customer Exprience Center at Lenovo headquarters and travels the world with salespeople and the Hydrous team.
