Meet the Team: Donna

Horizon creates one-of-a-kind amazing products for its clients, but who are the masterminds behind everything you see (and hear)? Throughout the coming weeks we will be showcasing the Horizon team members so you can get to know us better.

Donna:

She is the Founder and President of Horizon Productions. Originally from Greensboro, NC, she is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill as a double major in Radio, TV, & Motion Pictures, and History, and she is married to Joe Rakowski.

"If you don't try, it won't happen."

Favorite Book:

Me, Myself, & Bob

Favorite Movie:

Devil Wears Prada (so many great lines in that movie!) and The Wizard of Oz (just love the effects they did in 1939)

Favorite TV Show:

Suits, Law and Order SVU, and NCIS

Favorite Celebrity:

Sam Elliott and Wynonna Judd

Favorite Project You've Worked On At Horizon:

There are several - the Birth of a Colony documentary for UNC-TV and NCDCR, The Room of Dreams video for Jim Valvano, and the series of Breast Cancer Survivor videos for the BCBSNC Button Chair exhibit.

Favorite Item On Your Desk:

My laptop (which goes with me almost everywhere). If it's an item that stays on my desk, it would be my phone (because it connects me to clients) and my Frank Lloyd Wright designer lamp (which has been a prop in numerous Horizon videos).
